Walk it your way, beat brain tumours together

Our flagship event, The Twilight Walk, is back! Join us remotely for The Twilight Walk this October and help us pick up the pace towards a cure. Choose from our 10km, 40km or 130km options or set your own distance. Every step you take will help us move further, faster for everyone affected by brain tumours.

Distances

10km

Our classic Twilight Walk distance.

40km

As brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under 40.

130km

For the 130+ different types of brain tumours.

Pick your own

Why not pick your own meaningful distance?

All we ask is that every adult walker pledges to raise £100 to help us take strides towards a world without brain tumours. And if you can raise more, we’d really appreciate it!

Stride out on your own or come together as a team (while following current government guidelines) – and walk anywhere, any time, in October to complete your chosen distance.

You can take part however works best for you. You may choose to do it in a day, across multiple days or even split the distance up across a team and do it as a relay. Just sign up to begin.

Once the challenge is over, and if you’ve raised £100 or more in sponsorship, we’ll send you a commemorative medal to mark your amazing achievement!

How to take part

As an individual

If you’re walking as an individual, simply choose from 10km, 40km, 130km or your own distance, sign up and you’re ready to go!

Remember, you can split the distance over multiple walks if you want to.

As a team

If you’re walking as a team, pick a team leader to sign up first. They’ll need to choose a team name and fundraising target. When others sign up, they can join your team by typing in the team name. This will ensure your pages are linked together.

If you’re planning to do The Twilight Walk as a large team and would like some further information on this then check out our guide for more.

Why your walk matters

Your brain is the most extraordinary part of your body. It's responsible for your ability to move and to communicate. It controls your emotions and stores your memories. It's the part of you that makes you who you are.

Yet 88,000 people are living with a brain tumour in the UK and less than 3% of national cancer research funding is spent on the disease. Advances in treatments and quality-of-life care need to be made, and they need to be made quickly.

We know we need to move faster, and that’s why we’re committed to our goals of doubling survival and halving the harm.

We won't stop until we have.

Meet your fellow walkers!
